Objectives

At the conclusion of this activity, the participant will be able to:

• Outline data on health care use by patients with asthma during the COVID-19 pandemic

• Identify the components of high-quality care for patients with asthma and the priority gaps in

  care in Ontario based on Ontario Health’s quality standard Asthma: Care in the Community

  for People 16 Years of Age and Older

• Recognize the alignment between the Asthma Quality Standard and the electronic Asthma Management System (eAMS)

• Explore how the implementation of the eAMS in a primary care setting during the COVID-19 pandemic can assist with quality improvement in asthma care
