This 3.0-hour workshop ( 2-hours synchronous session and 1-hour asynchronous online activities) features an inter-professional approach to managing complexities in patients with delirium. Presented topics include etiology (including a discussion on hospital-related processes which contribute to development of delirium), leading hypotheses of pathophsiology, diagnosis, outcomes, prevention, and management. During this workshop, the participants will have an opportunity to reflect on patient encounters and discuss improved patient out comes and experiences.

Upon successful completion of this course, participants will receive 3 credits/hours (Mainpro+ or Section 1).

Who Should Register?
All healthcare teams and providers (i.e. nurses, physicians, social workers, occupational and physical therapists etc.), as well as managers and administrators in primary care, hospital, long-term care and community care settings who are working with patients and families to address complex care issues, with a particular focus on co-existing mental and physical needs may register.

MP3C is a University of Toronto accredited Continuing Professional Development Certificate program and has been approved as a Certificate of Completion in Continuing Professional Development for 39.0 hours.
All MP3C events (courses, workshops) are individually accredited for Section 1 credits and Mainpro+ hours, and can be taken based on interest without pursuing the certificate program.
