Recap: March 11 MH Primary Care Network Interim Leaders Meeting 4

25 Mar 2020 8:43 AM | Contact Us (Administrator)

In the two weeks that have passed since the fourth Interim Leaders Meeting, so much about the way we do our work and lead our lives has changed, none more so than for the Primary Care physicians of the Mississauga Halton LHIN.

It has never been a more important for family physicians to feel connected to one another, to know there are others that understand what it feels like to be on the front lines, to have a true sense of community in these rapidly changing and uncertain times.

At their March 11th meeting, with the governance structure, nomination and election processes confirmed, the Interim Leaders turned their sights to the document that will guide how the MH PCN will exist and conduct business: the Constitution! A draft document was reviewed with those in attendance; all feedback will be synthesized, rolled up and changes made before the document is presented (alongside the newly elected Board of Directors!) at the next Community Meeting. The Interim Leaders also took time to discuss a Near Term Communications Strategy, which includes the MH PCN website! With help from Dr. Greg Van de Mosselaer, changes have been made to the existing website so that it is easier to use and reflects the new purpose and activities of the organization.

PLEASE NOTE: In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, the original date of Tuesday, March 31st for the next MH PCN Community Meeting has been pushed forward to Monday, May 25th.

Voting for the inaugural MH Primary Care Network Board of Directors is open to all family physicians in the Mississauga Halton area; voting opened on Tuesday, March 10th and continues through to 9:00pm on Wednesday, March 25th. Ten family physicians from different sub-regions across Mississauga Halton have put their names forward as candidates, click here to see their bios. There is still time to cast your vote!!
