Board nominations now OPEN until Apr 4th, 11:59 PM

A lot has been accomplished in bringing together family physicians in Mississauga Halton and advocating for their needs throughout the COVID-19 pandemic. It is now time to pass the torch to the next physician leaders as we know there are many great ideas and strong voices in our community.

How you can become a Board member:

This is a volunteer position, with an expected minimum responsibility of attending two 1-hour meetings per month. Connect with your like-minded peers who want to make a difference and stand out as a leader.

All family physicians who practice in the Mississauga Halton region (former MH LHIN) are eligible to nominate themselves for a seat on the Board. Based on the geographical distribution of our Active Membership, there will be a maximum of 8 seats reserved for family physicians with primary practices in Mississauga/South Etobicoke, and 4 seats reserved for family physicians with primary practices in Halton. A chair, or co-chairs, will be selected by the new Board once they are assembled.

To simplify the election process, a general election will only be held if there are more nominations than seats available. You can now also select your commitment of either a 1 or 2 year term on the nomination form.
